This week at Mom's Day Out
Note from Our Director - Patty Giammarco
This week we are moving on to the exciting middle part of the Biblical Christmas story. The children will hear that while shepherds were watching their sheep at night the sky suddenly filled with light and an angel appeared and told them the good news that baby Jesus, God's son, had been born. They were so excited that they ran to see him right away! The Bible story is attached below.
This week we will play "Pin the Wool on the Sheep", play a guessing game with nativity figures, take care of babies, do some Christmas matching, and "Mail" Christmas cards.
We will continue to practice our two Christmas songs to perform on stage this Sunday during the 11:00 service. Your child's teachers will ask if you are likely to attend just so we can get an estimate of how many children we think we might have. We have been practicing a lot and look just adorable. :) I have attached the words to our two songs below.
On Sunday, please come about 10:50 and drop your child off at their MDO classroom (even if they are usually in a different room on Sundays). MDO teachers will be there to greet them.
Family member can then go to the sanctuary and find a seat. As you look at the stage this is where the classes will be...
Elephants, Lions, Tigers, and Koalas Right will be on the LEFT-HAND STAIRS AS YOU LOOK AT THE STAGE
Giraffes, Zebras, Monkeys and Koalas Left will be on the RIGHT-HAND STAIRS AS YOU LIIK AT THE STAGE
The very front row is reserved for the MDO teachers for quick access to the children.
Teachers will walk the children down the hall and onto the stage when it is our turn, near the beginning of the service, just after morning announcements. Please feel free to move around to take pictures or videos.
Teachers will walk all children back to the MDO classrooms for Christmas activities and a snack so families can stay to enjoy the rest of the Christmas music. All children will be picked up from the classrooms, even if they need to leave early.
Several of you have asked for a list of teacher names so I have attached one below. :)
